Cubism

Cubism is a type of art from the early twentieth century which was popularized by several artists which have become well known and respected because of their influence and talent, artists such as Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque not only changed the world of painting but literature and music as well. Cubism represents is a very important movement in art which changed the way people viewed themselves and the world. Cubism has often times been misrepresented as an excessively av ant garde art form which only gained popularity because of its sometimes outlandish appearances and depictions of everyday scenes not for its deeper significance and meaing. This misunderstanding of the true thoughts behind the cubism movement led to an early neglect of the topic from critics and patrons of the art world who have only recently begun to develop a better appreciation for an important subject which for the artists involved took a life time of hard work and sacrifice to achieve.
